Why PGDM????

When an Institute secures autonomy they design their own curriculum to be taught instead of following outdated University syllabus. The reason why I chose to do PGDM is because the curriculum can be updated regularly depending on the need in Industry. Hence one can say that PGDM courses are more Industry relevant as compared to MBA courses. PGDM has a focus on building soft skills and is industry-oriented. It prepares you for the job market. PGDM graduates get superior management education and enviable placement offers from global companies autonomous institute does not have to follow university standards , it is free to change its curriculum according to industry standards and change in business environment. PGDM will prepare graduates for senior level positions in industry and paves the way for a strong corporate career. Hence, I was looking for a career in the challenging area of management so decided to pursue PGDM.

FUN AND FROLIC AT FUN REPUBLIC

          It was Saturday evening.We were strolling along the busy roads of Avinashi. It was then that we caught a glimpse of Fun Republic – a total entertainment destination to chill out. Located amidst a cluster of educational institutions,  this mall promises to offer a different shopping experience to the denizens.

        As we tried to sneak in, the guards at the gate showed the other way for the entrance.It was then, when we heard a gang of girls grumbling about the improper way to entrance. But as we stepped in, we were dumbstruck by looking at the infrastructure of the mall. It has a unique design with a large dome shaped structure which makes it stand distinct amongst the other malls in the city.There are a wide variety of shops.As per the affinity of teenagers and youth towards brands, this mall brings together some of the hottest names in the retail sector – Shopper’s Stop, Reliance group, a host of other retail brands and fast food giants like Mc Donalds’s.As we were glancing at the elegant showrooms, Malathi ,a 30 year old woman remarked that the mall has a great look.

                        

       As we were striding towards the escalator, we encountered a family which seemed to be trying it’s luck with the escalator.”The escalators are at standstill” is what they said.When asked about the mall, they told us that they are eagerly waiting for the gaming zone to get opened.The family did enjoy the pleasant ambience. One among those came with a suggestion that jute bag stalls could be put up in the central arena.

                        

       After having a hearty meal at Mc Donalds, our noses had a tingling when we sensed a rich chocolate aroma.As we rushed to check out the chocolate store, we met Mr. Sanjay who expressed his dissatisfaction with the parking lots. But he remarked that he really enjoyed relishing the different types of cuisines in the food court.A few of them felt that it would have been nice if there had been a couple of wash basins installed near the food court. Mr.Deepak told us that he found it easy to locate shops with the help of the electronic displays at each floor picturizing the map of the mall.

              

      The mall can also have some coffee shops in it’s lounge which would attract the youth.Though the mall has some flaws, it is undoubtedly a perfect place for shopping and entertainment.People irrespective of their age can have an enthralling experience.Fun republic is a mere place for fun and frolic and is a tough competitor for Brookefields.
